The Thorsmork Action Tour will start with a short briefing on what you are to expect on this trip. The first stop is on Blue Mountains. We will go caving in lava tubes, explore the mysterious lava cave underneath the ancient lava field… and from here, we are just getting started! After the cave exploration, we will get into the Super Jeep and head to the legendary valley of Thor, Thorsmork or Þórsmörk(in Icelandic). A lot of unique landscapes, rivers to cross… an epic Super Jeep Safari experience.
We will take our lunch at the famous 60 meter high waterfalls, Seljalandsfoss, and the best thing about this is that you can actually walk behind it! After the our lunch break, we will now go hiking on Stakkholtsgjá Canyon as well as the narrow river beds. We will go back to Thorsmork for a traditional Icelandic lamb BBQ dinner. We will spend our night in a cozy sleeping bag accommodation in the Básar Chalets
On the second day, we will drive towards the Skógar Waterfalls where we will start yet another adventure. After the nature sightseeing, we will go glacier hiking and ice climbing on Sólheimajökull outlet glacier. This is what Iceland is all about Blue ice and lots of fun and excitement. Before we head home after our glacier expedition, we will have an optional visit to the wonderful small fishing town of Eyrarbakki. Here you can dine at one of the local sea food restaurants and experience local Icelandic cuisine. We will go back to Reykjavik in the late evening.
